The pieces are a self reference of my mixed background and diverse influences which are intertwine in subconscious ways as I try to explore them and find balance. They are made fusing silver and copper wires and strips together, creating a new alloy. Then one by one, the new sheets of mixed metals are rolled and forged separately to create organic three-dimension shapes.
The leaf-like sculptures are made with a technique called fold forming. This very specific forging technique enables the fragile new alloy to be scale up or down in a very unique way.
